We are a farm-to-table grocery store on a mission to provide our local community with fresh, healthy, and locally-sourced foods, while also creating a consistent and reliable outlet for our farmers to sell their products.
Not only does the Farm Store help us sell our meat to Pottsville, the Farm Store helps all the communities of farmers and makers that we purchase products from. We support farms from every corner of Schuylkill County.

Our Story
What is the Farm Store?
The story of the Farm Store began when we, Josiah and Angela Meck, were searching for a storefront in Pottsville, PA to sell our pasture-raised meats. We sell direct-to-consumer, meaning that our products are raised by us on our farm, and then we sell them directly to the customers. We do all our own marketing and retail sales - but most importantly - we do all the farming, too.
Without a store to sell to, and without a grocery store in this part of Pottsville, we took matters into our own hands. We found a building that worked perfectly for our concept of selling not just our meats but also groceries sourced from farms all over Schuylkill, Berks, and surrounding counties. We reached out to our farming community of friends and neighbors and quickly had over 25 farms lined up to sell at the Farm Store.
We worked through our project scope and set about funding the project. Through various sources - both traditional and non-traditional - we were able to bring the concept of the Farm Store to fruition.
